Canada to remain testing ground for Chinese interference

The Chinese Communist Party intends to continue using Canada as a key location for local interference strategies, despite Beijing's assurances to the contrary. The Party intends to replicate its influence activities there in areas where China is struggling to gain a foothold, particularly in Europe.

Teams of French specialists in defensive cyber warfare are travelling to Kyiv every month to analyse Russian malware recovered from the Ukrainian digital front. This sensitive cooperation with the GUR and the SBU has started raising concerns on the Ukrainian side.

Christian Harbulot, who has been at the helm of France's École de Guerre Économique since 1997, will be stepping down before the end of the year. His likely successor is a former senior executive at the French foreign intelligence service and currently works at Michelin.
